Food and Beverage Services - Assistant Steward
NVQ Level 2
This course is designed to introduce students to careers in the field of food and beverage services. It is intended to cover the competencies required to provide proficient and professional Food & Beverage service to guests by meeting and also exceeding their expectations. It includes personal grooming and hygiene, restaurant arrangement, serving food and beverage, bar operations and carrying out banquet functions.
Room Attendant
NVQ Level 2
This course is designed to introduce students to basic competencies of a Room Attendant. It develops capabilities with regard to Communication Skills, Hygiene and Good Grooming, Cleaning and arranging a departure room, vacant room and an occupied room, Cleaning and Arranging Floor Corridors and Service Areas, Handling a Mini Bar and Refrigerators, Cleaning and Maintaining Public Areas.
Front of House Assistant
NVQ Level 3
This course is designed to introduce students to careers in hospitality industry as a Front of House Assistant .It provides knowledge and responsibilities and work ethics for this task, and competencies required to carry out administration work, receiving guests, dealing with guest departures etc.
Front Office Manager
NVQ Level 4
This course is designed to introduce students to a career in the hospitality industry as a Front Office Manager. It provides knowledge, responsibilities and work ethics related to the job and competencies required to carry out administration work and dealing with guests. After centre based learning, students should have at least 6 months of On the Job Training to obtain certification. Training institutions may however combine the practical experience with centre learning, and the balance of training methods will be up to the institution to decide on, provided the competencies are developed.
Hotel House Keeping
NVQ Level 4
This course is designed to introduce students to a career in the hospitality industry as a Hotel Housekeeper. It develops capabilities with regard to Guest Room cleaning, arrangement of public areas, handling & maintain linen and uniforms, maintain linen inventory and maintain Housekeeping stores, controlling and upgrading subordinates, handling guest requests / complaints etc. After center based learning, students should have at least 6 months of On the Job Training to obtain certification. Training institutions may however combine the practical experience with centre learning, and the balance of training methods will be up to the institution to decide on, provided the competencies are developed.
